What do you call a man with a spade on his head?

Doug: A man who has developed a sense of humour because people really love to tell him that joke. Also, a man who finds grand meaning in his name apparently. Like, how it serves him well because to dig and explore is what he was put here on this planet to do (metaphorically that is, absolutely no good with a fossil brush).

I work in a number of ways. As a writer on creative projects myself, and as a coach and collaborator to others. Have a dig around this site for examples of different projects I've been part of. Then, if you fancy, drop me a line via the contact page.

Some things about me that demonstrate I'm a human being? Sure.

I'm quite fascinated by transformation. Less cars-into-robots and more caterpillars into butterflies. I can't get enough of agape gazing at our capacity as human beings to transform. Possibly because I enjoy shape shifting and trying things out myself? I don't know. I like to know my own resistance and fears so I can be familiar with them. Hopefully this clear to see from the variety of projects and arena's I've played in. It's not all about me though, I love to support people through key moments of transformation: personally and professionally. I believe we work to live and we can have a great time living intriguing and deeply individual paths, if we're game for a bit of bravery.

I'm a longstanding student and advocate of what is too often referred to as "mental health". I think we can now just address it as "health", seeing as the issues that present in this area are rarely exclusive to the mind. I've spent 15 years of my life as an ally to the spirit and consciousness enquirer, thirstily reading and exploring avenues to wellbeing, recovery and connection. I guess that's why you'll find me coaching others alongside the work I'm creating for myself.

All in all, I'm the guy to bring the "who can help me with this?" task to. Maybe you want to make something beautiful, silly, or both? Perhaps you're about to deliver the most exhilarating speech of your career, or your LIFE? Or daring to write a book, or dreaming about make a daunting shift in your life?

Whatever floats your ferry, find out more about me below and then come at me with your weird and wonderful creative needs.
